The Danbury Hatters basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Middletown Middie Bears to 34 in the Hatters non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hatters now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Trumbull for a non-league game on Friday, January 3.

With the loss, Middletown falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Middie bears host Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 0-1. Our Lady of Lourdes lost 52-48 in their recent non-league game against Warwick (Warwick, NY)
