The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA) and the visiting Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA), observed Yough's basketball team overwhelm Charleroi by a score of 55-23.

The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against McGuffey (Claysville, PA). The Highlanders come into the WPIAL 3A 4 bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, McGuffey crushed Charleroi (Charleroi, PA), 67-6, in a league bout.

With the loss, Charleroi falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Bethlehem Center lost 48-15 in their recent league bout against Chartiers-Houston (Houston, PA)
