The Kearny Komets basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Westview Wolverines to 37 in the Komets non-league triumph on Monday.

The Komets now hold a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mission Bay for a bout on Friday, January 10.

With the loss, Westview falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Bonita Vista lost 52-3 in their recent non-league bout against St. Joseph Academy (San Marcos, CA)
