Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) and the visiting Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA), saw Artesia's soccer squad hold off Mayfair by a count of 1-0.

The Pioneers (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Gladiators enter the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Gahr tipped Glenn (Norwalk, CA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Monsoons battle the Bishop Amat Lancers (La Puente, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, December 27. Mayfair will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Lancers enter the battle with a 9-1 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Claremont (Claremont, CA).
