Illinois High School Basketball - Massac County tops Gallatin County

December 26, 2022: Junction, IL 62954

Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL), 65-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Massac County upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Anna-Jonesboro won 60-44 in their recent non-league bout against Fairfield (Fairfield, IL)

Next up, the Hawks play the Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Gallatin County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Blackcats come into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 68-29 non-league win over Cobden (Cobden, IL).
