West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), 53-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Stanly upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to play the Wolf Pack in a 2A/3A Conference 44 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Wolf Pack come into the bout with a record of 9-2. Parkwood won 60-24 in their recent non-league bout against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Gray Stone Day will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 45-31 non-league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC).
