Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ), 52-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-4. Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology lost 64-43 in their recent non-league bout against East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ)

Next up, the Spartans play the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (Ramsey, NJ) in a Big North - United bout, on Tuesday, January 2. DePaul Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
