The Appleton North Lightning basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Brookfield Central Lancers to 63 in the Lightning non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lightning now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Eau Claire Memorial for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Appleton North will confront a Old Abes team coming off a 52-39 league win over River Falls (River Falls, WI). The Old Abes record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Brookfield Central falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Lancers host Sheboygan North (Sheboygan, WI) to confront the Golden Raiders in a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. The Golden Raiders go into the game with a record of 6-1. Sheboygan North won 67-65 in their recent non-league game against Hamilton (Sussex, WI)
