California High School Basketball - Bakersfield can't get by Ventura

The Bakersfield Drillers basketball squad (Bakersfield, CA), was nudged 74-68 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA)

With the victory, Ventura advances its record to 5-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 3-3. Saratoga lost 67-65 in their recent non-league battle against San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA)

The Drillers now own a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Davis Sr. for a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. Bakersfield will meet a Blue Devils squad coming off a 83-48 non-league loss to Oak Park (Oak Park, CA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-6.
