Georgia High School Basketball - Bridges Prep toppled by Islands

Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Bridges Prep Buccaneers (Beaufort, SC), 63-49 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Islands advances its record to 4-8 on the year. The Sharks travel to Jenkins (Savannah, GA) to face the Warriors in a AAA Region 3 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 4-4. Jenkins lost 65-38 in their recent non-league match against Bolles (Jacksonville, FL)

The Buccaneers now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Memorial Day for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Bridges Prep will face a Matadors squad coming off a 48-39 non-league win over Faith Baptist Christian Academy (Ludowici, GA). The Matadors record now stands at 4-4.
