The Gophers (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN). The Cougars come into the AA Section 1 challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Zumbrota-Mazeppa trounced Lourdes (Rochester, MN), 60-24, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blackhawks encounter the Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs (Elgin, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. Prairie du Chien will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 78-38 league loss to Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN).
