California High School Basketball - Mt. Whitney nips Delano

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Whitney Pioneers (Visalia, CA) and the visiting Delano Tigers (Delano, CA), observed Mt. Whitney's basketball team edge Delano by a margin of 49-46.

The Pioneers (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Exeter (Exeter, CA). The Monarchs come into the non-league challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Exeter edged Sierra (Tollhouse, CA), 47-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA) in a South Sequoia challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Delano will attempt to better on its 0-8 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 53-17 non-league win over Mira Monte (Bakersfield, CA).
