The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) and the host Eastside Catholic Crusaders (Sammamish, WA), observed JSerra Catholic's basketball team overwhelm Eastside Catholic by a margin of 70-49.

The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Montgomery (San Diego, CA). The Aztecs come into the non-league challenge with a 12-0 record. In their last challenge, Montgomery trounced Poly (Riverside, CA), 53-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Nathan Hale Raiders (Seattle, WA) in a 3A Metro challenge, on Friday, January 3. Eastside Catholic will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 84-69 non-league loss to Issaquah (Issaquah, WA).
