The Mountain House Mustangs basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting El Capitan Gauchos to 54 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Manteca for a Valley Oak League game on Thursday, January 2. Mountain House will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 69-54 non-league loss to Clovis West (Fresno, CA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, El Capitan falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Gauchos travel to Downey (Modesto, CA) to confront the Knights in a non-league game on Friday, December 27. The Knights go into the game with a record of 2-6. Downey lost 46-44 in their recent non-league game against Sonora (Sonora, CA)
