In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Humble Wildcats basketball team scored a close 62-57 triumph over the Yazoo City Indians.
The Wildcats (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Evangel Christian Academy (Shreveport, LA). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Evangel Christian Academy was tipped by Neville (Monroe, LA), 59-48, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Gentry Rams (Indianola, MS) in a 5A Region 2 contest, on Friday, January 3. Yazoo City will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 4-9 record after their 71-39 league loss to Canton (Canton, MS).
