The Vikings now possess a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Haltom for a 6A Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, December 31. Lamar will play a Buffalos team coming off a 53-42 league loss to Arlington (Arlington, TX). The Buffalos record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Mesquite falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Skeeters travel to Skyline (Dallas, TX) to play the Raiders in a 6A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, January 3. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Skyline lost 69-63 in their recent non-league bout against Panther Creek (Frisco, TX)
