In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Pleasant Valley Vikings basketball team scored a close 57-52 triumph over the Elk Grove Thundering Herd.

The Vikings (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Whitney (Rocklin, CA). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Whitney nipped Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA), 62-61, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thundering Herd confront the Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Elk Grove will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record.
