In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Monticello Sages basketball team scored a big 40-18 win over the Ridgeview Mustangs.

The Sages (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Tri-Valley was trounced by Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL), 56-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Tuscola Warriors (Tuscola, IL) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 26. Ridgeview will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 71-12 non-league win over Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL).
