The Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) basketball crushed the host Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX), 79-19 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Matadors now possess a 10-13 record. They play next when they travel to Weimar for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Seguin will play a Wildcats team coming off a 69-14 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Hallettsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Rice Consolidated falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Edna (Edna, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 3.
