In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights ice hockey team scored a close 6-2 victory over the Shakopee Sabers.
The Red Knights (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Fire go into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Holy Family Catholic edged Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN), 4-2, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Sabers play the Champlin Park Rebels (Champlin, MN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Shakopee will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Academy of Holy Angels (Richfield, MN).
