In Thursday's non-league test, the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) ice hockey squad tipped the host Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN), by a tally of 2-1.

Next, the Spartans face the Park Wolfpack (Cottage Grove, MN) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 27. Superior will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Wolfpack come into the test with a 5-2 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN).

The Scarlets (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Osseo (Osseo, MN). The Orioles come into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Osseo nudged Red Lake Falls (Red Lake Falls, MN), 5-1, in a non-league test.
