Richland Springs Coyotes (Richland Springs, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX), 48-15 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Richland Springs upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Coyotes host Lometa (Lometa, TX) to play the Hornets in a 1A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Lometa won 45-40 in their recent non-league bout against Llano (Llano, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 31. Sweetwater will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record.
