The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) basketball knocked off the host St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 43-33 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cougars (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes go into the non-league test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Hickory notched a victory over Foard (Newton, NC), 74-30, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Foard for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 28. St. Stephens will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 74-30 non-league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 2-8.
