In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Carlyle Indians (Carlyle, IL), by a count of 57-53.
The Bobcats (9-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league bout with a 2-9 record.
Next up, the Indians play the Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, December 28. Carlyle will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Shells enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL).
