South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Beloit upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Sobos travel to West Carroll (Savanna, IL) to play the Thunder in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Thunder come into the bout with a record of 2-9. West Carroll lost 83-51 in their recent non-league bout against Byron (Byron, IL)

Next up, the Cougars play the Byron Tigers (Byron, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Eastland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 58-52 non-league loss to South Beloit (South Beloit, IL).
