Florida High School Basketball - Freeport can't hold off Magnolia Heights

The Magnolia Heights Chiefs basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Freeport Bulldogs to 52 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chiefs now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Magnolia Heights will battle a Admirals team coming off a 63-57 non-league win over William Blount (Maryville, TN). The Admirals record now stands at 11-2.

The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Vernon (Vernon, FL). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Vernon was nudged by Holmes County (Bonifay, FL), 54-35, in a league contest.
