Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC), 70-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hillcrest upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Wade Hampton (Greenville, SC) to play the Generals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Generals come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Wade Hampton lost 79-48 in their recent non-league bout against Dorman (Roebuck, SC)

Next up, the Gamecocks play the Boiling Springs Bulldogs (Spartanburg, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Sumter will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 78-61 non-league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, SC).
