Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Scranton nips Holy Cross

December 27, 2022: Scranton, PA 18508

Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Scranton upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Knights host Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA) to play the Comets in a Lackawanna 1 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 6-0.

Next up, the Crusaders play the Old Forge Blue Devils (Old Forge, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Holy Cross will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 53-45 non-league win over Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA).
