The Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Navasota Rattlers (Navasota, TX), 56-55 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Rangers (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans go into the 5A Region III District 17 test with a 10-8 record.
The Rattlers now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Waskom for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 27. Navasota will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-53 league win over Arp (Arp, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-5.
