Greenon Knights (Springfield, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Xenia Buccaneers (Xenia, OH), 55-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Greenon upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Northeastern (Springfield, OH) to play the Jets in a Ohio Heritage bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Jets come into the bout with a record of 1-9. Northeastern lost 42-34 in their recent non-league bout against Northridge (Dayton, OH)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Fairborn Skyhawks (Fairborn, OH) in a Miami Valley - Valley bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Xenia will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 31-30 non-league loss to Piqua (Piqua, OH).
