Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Huron River Rats (Ann Arbor, MI), 53-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grosse Pointe South upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Blue Devils host Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI) to clash with the Eagles in a Macomb Area - Red bout on Thursday, January 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Utica Eisenhower lost 47-33 in their recent league bout against Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI)

Next up, the River Rats clash with the St.Ignace Saints (St. Ignace, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Huron will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 58-46 non-league loss to Saginaw (Saginaw, MI).
