The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Naugatuck Greyhounds to 25 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilton for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Pomperaug will battle a Warriors team coming off a 50-22 non-league loss to Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 0-2.

The Greyhounds (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines come into the Naugatuck Valley - Copper contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Oxford was routed by Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT), 81-51, in a league contest.
