Portales Rams (Portales, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Slidell Greyhounds (Slidell, TX), 44-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portales upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Rams travel to Clarendon (Clarendon, TX) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 8-2.

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Sundown Roughnecks (Sundown, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Slidell will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Roughnecks go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 83-30 league win over Post (Post, TX).
