California High School Basketball - Taft can't hold off Bakersfield

The Bakersfield Drillers basketball team scored 30 points and held the host Taft Wildcats to 24 in the Drillers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Drillers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a contest on Thursday, January 12.
The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chavez (Delano, CA). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Chavez was nudged by Monache (Porterville, CA), 51-42, in a non-league contest.
