Unity Eagles (Balsam Lake, WI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Barron Golden Bears (Barron, WI), 83-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Unity upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Somerset (Somerset, WI) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Somerset won 96-51 in their recent non-league bout against St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI)

Next up, the Golden Bears play the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) in a Heart O'North bout, on Friday, January 5. Barron will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 100-68 non-league loss to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau (Galesville, WI).
