Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the host Western Warriors (Louisville, KY), saw Boyd County's basketball squad wallop Western by a tally of 106-77.

With the victory, Boyd County improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Blazer (Ashland, KY) to play the Tomcats in a District 64 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-3.

Next up, the Warriors play the Eastern Eagles (Louisville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 5. Western will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record.
