The Port Charlotte Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs to 41 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pirates now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Verot for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Port Charlotte will meet a Vikings team coming off a 71-35 non-league win over St. John Paul II (Tallahassee, FL). The Vikings record now stands at 8-1.

The Chiefs (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Palmetto (Miami, FL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 5-5 record.
