Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA), 67-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chilhowie upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Union (Big Stone Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Union lost 67-48 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN)

Next up, the Black Raiders clash with the Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Friday, January 5. J.I. Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
