Chuckey-Doak Black Knights (Afton, TN) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lakeway Christian Academy Lions (Morristown, TN), 72-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chuckey-Doak upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Black Knights travel to Heritage (Maryville, TN) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Heritage won 54-49 in their recent league bout against South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN)

Next up, the Lions play the First Baptist Academy Eagles (Powell, TN) in a Division II-A East District 1 bout, on Friday, January 5. Lakeway Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 55-42 non-league loss to Christian Academy of Knoxville (Knoxville, TN).
