The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils basketball team (Durham, CT), was overwhelmed 81-58 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT)

The Spartans now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Terryville for a Berkshire battle on Tuesday, January 2. Shepaug Valley will confront a Kangaroos team coming off a 68-52 non-league win over Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (Hartford, CT). The Kangaroos record now stands at 3-1.

The Blue Devils (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Lyman Hall (Wallingford, CT). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Lyman Hall was overwhelmed by Sheehan (Wallingford, CT), 62-34, in a non-league battle.
