Georgia High School Basketball - Fitzgerald edges Crisp County

The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA) basketball nipped the host Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), 71-65 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Purple Hurricane (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Lanier County (Lakeland, GA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Lanier County was tipped by Tift County (Tifton, GA), 64-45, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cook for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Crisp County will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 59-54 non-league loss to Tift County (Tifton, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-5.
