Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gonzales Apaches (Gonzales, TX), 68-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Schulenburg upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Shorthorns host Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX) to play the Brahmas in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Brahmas go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Hallettsville lost 75-42 in their recent non-league bout against Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX)
Next up, the Apaches play the Burton Panthers (Burton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Gonzales will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 71-24 non-league loss to Hempstead (Hempstead, TX).
