Pinkerton Astros (Derry, NH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Groton-Dunstable Crusaders (Groton, MA), 87-75 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pinkerton upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Astros host Lowell (Lowell, MA) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Lowell won 82-57 in their recent non-league bout against Merrimack (Merrimack, NH)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Westford Academy Grey Ghosts (Westford, MA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Groton-Dunstable will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Grey Ghosts go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 54-44 non-league loss to Haverhill (Haverhill, MA).
