Ohio High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon overwhelmed by Hayes

The Hayes Pacers basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets to 38 in the Pacers non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Pacers now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olentangy Berlin for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Hayes will battle a Bears team coming off a 58-44 non-league loss to New Albany (New Albany, OH). The Bears record now stands at 2-5.

The Yellowjackets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wooster (Wooster, OH). The Generals come into the Ohio Cardinal contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Wooster triumphed over Orrville (Orrville, OH), 48-45, in a non-league contest.
