Rushford-Peterson Trojans (Rushford, MN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hayfield Vikings (Hayfield, MN), 88-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Rushford-Peterson upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Trojans host Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN) to play the Falcons in a A Section 1 bout on Thursday, December 28. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Wabasha-Kellogg won 58-56 in their recent league bout against Fillmore Central (Harmony, MN)

Next up, the Vikings play the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks (Dawson, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Hayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Blackjacks go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 72-53 non-league win over Baldwin-Woodville (Baldwin, WI).
