With the win, Kaufman upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Lions travel to Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, TX) to clash with the in a 4A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Sunnyvale won 55-43 in their recent non-league bout against Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Ennis Lions (Ennis, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Kemp will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 56-42 league loss to Corsicana (Corsicana, TX).
