The Mahanoy Area Golden Bears routed the visiting Montoursville Warriors basketball team by a final score of 55-32 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Golden Bears face the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 30. Mahanoy Area will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record.

With the defeat, Montoursville moves to 4-3 on the year. The Warriors travel to Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, December 28. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 1-0. Southern Columbia Area won 62-51 in their recent non-league game against Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, PA)
