The Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 71-54 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Dons go into the East Suburban Catholic test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Niles Notre Dame went down by Libertyville (Libertyville, IL), 46-45, in a non-league test.

The Fighting Saints now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Geneva for a DuKane test on Thursday, January 4. St. Charles East will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 52-43 non-league win over Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 5-7.
