The Marionville Comets basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Walnut Grove Tigers to 47 in the Comets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stockton for a Southwest contest on Tuesday, January 2. Marionville will battle a Tigers team coming off a 66-47 non-league loss to Bolivar (Bolivar, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.

The Tigers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Macks Creek (Macks Creek, MO). The Pirates enter the Polk County contest with a 1-7 record.
