With the victory, Oakton improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Westfield (Chantilly, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a District 1 challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Westfield won 65-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Coolidge (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Evangel Christian Eagles (Dale City, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA).
